Our Doc's often times use "noncontributory" for the Family History. Will that statement be considered as acceptable in the event of an audit? as one of the three elements needed on the PFSH of a high level new pt E/M?

No

No ... "non contributory" is not acceptable documentation for having taken a past medical, family or social history.

Better to specify the negatives you asked about - e.g.: No history of HTN, no family history of cardiac disease, non smoker

Hope that helps.
