Wiki Persistent bleeding from the central line insertion site.

One of our patients had persistent bleeding from the central line insertion site. My doctor went in and sutured up the opening, leaving the central line in place. How would I code for that? Is it just repair of the skin, site, and then the complexity?

I would also throw in a "complication" code since it happened because of the line placement.
