Good Morning-
Was hoping somebody has some suggestions regarding this op note:

Tendon graft to prevent subluxation of the peroneal tendon:
" Two drill holes were made, one at the tip of the fibula in the calcaneus, one posterior, on anterior and inferior, and these were connected using a towell clip to make sure that there was no intervening bone. A tendon graft was passed through the fibula, and then the 2 arms were passed underneath the tendon sheath, underneath the soft tissues and then brought our over the calcaneus. The anterior limb of the the tendon was brought back and passed from posterior to anterior through the calcaneus to give a figure of eight type of appearance.

I am thinking 27675, but it does not state anything about a graft..

Thanks!
Sherry

There is a code for tendon graft 20924, but that is if your doc OBTAINED the graft from the same pt.

If your doc just used frozen, cadaver graft, i dont think you can bill other than putting a
22 mod on it, if your doc feels this made the procedure "subsantially" more difficult. The hospital would be able to bill for the "supply" (meaning the cadaver graft).
