My doc is stating pt has peri prothetic hip fx
patient has fx of greater and lesser trochanteric
so he revised the femoral component and also fixated the fractures with plates, screws, and wires.

Should I just code the 27138
or 27244
OR both ????

Does the dx 996.44 take the place of 820.20 ? or would you code both?

i WOULD BILL OUT 27138 WITH 996.66 DX WITH V43.64
