Wiki peri prosthetic fracture

I am confusing myself today.

Patient had a previous hip replacement. Now has a peri-prosthetic fracture.
Doctor did not need to remove and replace any of the components. Instead
did reduction with wires, compression plate and screws. I am looking at
27244 as it was subtrochanteric/shaft fracture.

That is correct ? I don't know why, but I am also thinking of 27507 . . . .
Can someone give me their opinion ? Please

If it was a shaft fracture, then 27507. If it was a subtroch. then 27244. As far as which CPT code to use, using the info on the OP note is the best. However, if the OP note does not differentiate between subtroch and femoral shaft, look at the X-ray report. Hope this helps!
