Hello, I am new to the forum, and would sincerely appreciate any input given.

I am new to radiology coding, and was approached with this queston:

A referring orders a pelvic sonogram with TV. In the course of the exam a 3cm mass is found in the ovary. As per ACR guidelines, color flow and spectral analysis is performed on the mass. The radiologist includes this in the completed report. We charge for Doppler/spectral analysis. Do we need a new script from the referring physician to include Doppler/spectral analysis?
