Thank you. It's just causing the payment poster a lot of work having to adjust off so many pennies each month.There’s no need to avoid getting paid the one cent. It would cost you a lot more than a penny more to try to avoid it. Just let it go - payers and auditors aren’t concerned with amounts that small.
We had rejections/denials for NDC on 96372 so we submit the Jcode w/ $0.01 chargeWhen we see a patient that brings in their own meds we put the NDC of the drug injected on the line of the injection charge- 96372.
Most insurance carriers will not pay 96372 without a corresponding Jcode. That is why the recommendation is to submit the Jcode with $.01 fee (many EHRs/clearinghouses won't submit zero charges without coercion).
