The reason for the appointment "skin lesion trunk".Provider dictated neoplasm to r/o skin cancer verses dysplasia ,however pathology came back back as intact tick Should/Can ICD be changed to reflect foreign body removed ?

Since excision are not to be coded until the path is returned you would code this as a tick bite and tick removal. Hopefully you had not already submitted a claim as a neoplasm. If so you will need to submit a corrected claim.
