We are a GI group and we are now co-owners of a lab that will process the technical component of our specimens before sending them on to a pathologist to be read. This lab is located in the office of another GI group. The administrator of that office informed me that I can use our office that is in the same building (different floor) as the place of service for the technical component billing. I thought the place of service would need to be the actual lab. We are able to bill full component for some of our pathology charges now due to "client billing" depending on the insurance company and we use our office as the place of service for those charges. We will continue to do this, but for the insurance companies that we do not "client bill" for, we will only be billing TC. Does anyone out there have any insight on this?

Thanks in advance!!!
Amy

We're a GI group and own our lab. The lab is located in the same building as the office we lease space in, but on a different floor. We use POS 11 and bill global since the pathologists are employees.
