Here is the op note
PROCEDURE: Paracentesis via APD catheter.
HISTORY AND INDICATIONS FOR PROCEDURE: This bedside paracentesis was performed for treatment of symptomatic ascites.
PROCEDURE: After informed consent was obtained verbally from the patient, a timeout was performed. The PD catheter was then opened in a sterile fashion. It was connected to vacutainer bottles and approximately 6.5 liters of dark yellow fluid which was clear and noncloudy was removed without difficulty. The patient received salt poor albumin during this time.
Would you still use 49082 for this procedure?
