A patient has her annual with another doctor then comes to our office for just the papsmear. We charge an office visit and collection of papsmear. Do I use the diagnosis code V76.2 or V72.31?

V76.2 as it is for routine cervival screening.

You use the V76.2 but there is no code for the actual collection of the pap you use only the office visit.
