Good Morning:
CMS outlines the following in their manual, there is not an LCD for these injections. Do any of you have providers that are trying to bill multiple units for these? It would appear that only one injection per nerve/branch is allowed, are you removing any additional injections when you see them? Wanting to make sure I interpret the guideline correctly, thanks for any information you can share.

You are correct as only one unit can be billed for these codes. For example, the provider will do a genicular nerve block and may inject 3 or more branches of the genicular nerve. In these cases you only bill one unit as it is still one nerve.
