Is anyone else seeing an increase in denials from insurance for assist surgery (PA) charges? We are being told the physician needs to list more specifically what the PA does during the surgery not just "intricately involved."
I suggested using phrases like, needed for tissue retraction, joint exposure, limb positioning, specific to what surgery is being done of course. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated !
