For most of our payers a SA is required for a nurse practitioner who is billed under the supervising physicians number.
We have just hired a PA who we are not have her own numbers and will also be billed under a supervising physician.( this an e/m coding not surgical ) What modifier do we use to let them know the rendering provider is the PA.
