I apologize if this is not the correct location for this post.
We have an Ortho PA (PA 1) that wants to dictate a discharge summery for a patient that was seen by a different PA (PA 2), the patient was never seen by PA 1, only the Dr. and PA 2 saw the patient. PA 2 discharged the patient, not the doctor or PA 1.
Both PA's work for the same Ortho surgen that covers five hospitals in this area, so they're pretty busy.
PA 1 is requesting documentation that stats what he can and cannot do in a situation like this, but I haven't been able to locate it.
