We are located in Indiana and we have a patient that lives in Canada and that is where the medical insurance is also. Can we bill that to Canada since we are in the USA. I have never had this situation before and trying to see if we can bill or not. Thanks
 
Should be no problem since CPT and ICD-9 are International coding. If you happen to have phone# to the Canadian ins carrier maybe calling and talking to someone there would be helpful in getting it taken care of quickly. Good luck!

You can definitely bill the insurance in Canada. However, you need to check benefits because they have a National Healthcare plan that only pays benefits rendered in Canada. Most of our Canadian patients pay for their services out of their own pockets. Definitely, call to check with the insurance.
