Hi,

I have a patient who had a fracture and he had surery on it (ORIF), he comes in for a follow up and x-ray shows a non union, he is to continue with a bone stimulator. He is out of the global period.

Can I use a Non-union 733.82 code and a straight E/M code?

I would say yes to your question, I would also use a late effect fx code with nonunion code.
