Wiki Ordering/Referring Provider for Radiology Claims

We have always included an ordering/referring provider on our radiology claims.
Recently it was brought to our attention by another billing company - that Medicare does not require an ordering/referring provider on Radiology claims.

Can anyone clarify this info?

My Medicare contractor does not agree. If something has changed, my contractor has not updated their website. Perhaps they were speaking of inpatient claims?
