I am wondering what you think, we have a patient who was seen for fracture care and several days later fell injuring himself again. The patient was seen in consultation in the ER for the fall to evaluate to make sure he had not displaced his fixator. Since this is a "new" injury would it be appropriate to bill for the consult with a 24 modifier?
