Hi everyone! I'm working on a project and would like some insight, please.... Let's say that you have been tasked to help in the search for an AI-Coding platform. What things would you look for or questions would you have for the vendor?If you are a coder, what specific features would you want to see in the platform? Thanks.

Id like to make sure the AI program can understand difference in same abbreviations of disease (ie PE means 2 differ disease such as CP). Each type of medical specialty has certain algorithms to abstract that need to match....coding fractures, vs, skin debridement vs lacerations vs skin rashes vs stages of diseases. Also will a flag be there to define certain genders since linked to certain diseases? Also differ payers have differ rules....also will it flag the medical coder or provider if possible insurance denial may pop up or agaisnt national coding regs? Can it pull out coding and surgery trends noticed by provider during set time after been billed or denied per payer & or type of provider? If certain phrases or medical slang or clinical symptoms used by provider will AI understand & direct provider the proper dx or CPT code? Could the AI program pull up if a inpatient has certain HCC rating or DRG rating once dx assigned or given? Can the AI program pull up certain medications if patient allergic to one type then can use another medication for treating to do as good as job? Also other hints to ensure coding combination of disease. As examples of combo coding dx E66 & Z68 BMI%, or N39 & B96 or N18.6 & Z99 or Z49. Also there are many type of beh health assessments (ie :pHQ, ADHD) linked to certain mental health ds. It d be nice to pop up list for MH providers and therapists
