According to the Ophthalmology Coding Alert when billing a cataract surgery with a vitrectomy I can code the 66982-LT with the dx of 366.30 with the 67010-LT-59 and the dx code of 379.26 if it is documented in the patient record and it is not considered a complication of the cataract surgery. Would this also apply if you were billing the 66984? I'm so confused!
