I have a surgeon that would like to start using the On-Q pain pump. The pump will be placed by the Anesthesiologist post op in recovery. Question can anesthesia bill for the placement of the catheter? If so what code would they use? Second if the surgeon places the catheter in the OR can the facility bill or is this included in the procedure? If yes what code?
