Hi,
It is my understanding that the office visit prior to a screening colonoscopy, strictly for the purpose of checking over the patient prior to that procedure, can not be billed separately to Medicare as they consider it included with the payment of the colonoscopy. But I can not remember where I got this information and am being asked to supply my source. Does anyone know where I can find this in writing?
Thanks,
Cindy
