I BEEN GETTING DENIALS WHEN BILLING FOR AN OFFICE VISIT WITH A UA AS "INCIDENTAL TO", EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE LINKED TO DIFFERENT DX. (ie. 99214 with 535.50, 558.9 and 81003 QW with 599.0), does anybody know how to get both paid.

first of all why did you not link the 599.0 to the E&M? surely there was some exam and symptoms expressed for the UTI diagnosis... otherwise where did the dx come from? you cannot not link a dx to the office visit just to try to get some other service paid. The edits are set up to deny this, as inclusive due to the dx code you used as they know that in order to diagnose the UTI the provider needed the result of the UA therefore it was integral to the exam and therefore part of it not significant and separate.
