We just purchased a ultrasound/flouro machine!!! Yippe more coding issues!!!

I say that you can bill the fluoro code 76942 and a 20610 - is it unbundled?

Can you use 76881 with 20610 for ultrasound guided cortisone injections?

Any ideas how to code the injections would be greatly appreciated.

76942 is your ultrasound code(not fluoro)for your injection. It is not bundled w/20610. 76881 is not for injection guidance it is an actual ultrasound of an extremity. For fluoroscopic guidance for needle placement(biopsy,aspiration,injection) you use 77002. For large joint cort injection w/Fluoro you would code 77002 with 20610. Hope this helps
