My supervisor has offered to pay for me to test for the OCS (Ophthalmic Coding Specialist) Certification through the American Academy of Ophthalmology. I am very eager to take this opportunity. I have looked online and do not see where there are study guides for this test. Our office specializes in cataracts, annual exams and oculoplastics. I am not sure what to do, I like to be prepared. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Beth

OCS Study Material

I know it has a been a while since your post but the American Academy of Ophthalmology offers the study material for the OCS exam on their website. It is a kind of expensive but if your employer is offering the exam hopefully they might also pay for the study material. I took the OCS last November and found everything I needed through the AAO.

I just took it no study guides

I had to pay for my OCS exam out of pocket and couldn't afford the coding coach materials.
It is an open book test with 14 days to complete, so I just researched what I didn't know. I am a CPC-A and a COC-A working in an ophthalmology clinic, so I was familiar with most of the information before I began.
I definitely recommend taking it. Good luck!
