Hi, Our physicians had a patient with known Trisomy 21 with a fetal demise @ 17 weeks gestation, the patient was admiited for induction and delivered the fetus vaginally, since this was already a known demise at the time of induction-what is the best way to bill this ? I was thinking 59409 delivery only & dx 632 for the demise. Any thoughts, help would be much appreciated.

OB delivery

according to ACOG guidelines delivery codes can only be used after 20 weeks. if vaginal suppositories were used to induce labor codes 59855-59857 are used.
