Billed 28446 and indep. blue cross is dening due to experimental/investigational. Need help any one else getting denied and if so how r u correcting. Any special DX?
 
I have been denied for this same proced. by Aetna.

Aetna says it is their policy that any defect larger than a certain size is considered experimental. I checked their policy online and it is indeed part of their policy.

I doubt we will be getting paid for this- it is the correct CPT and correct Dx- what could you change?

We have been unable to get paid.
