Would this work? It isn't an acceptable primary diagnosis according to the Coding Clinic 2002 Q4:
"A new status code for supplemental oxygen has been created. It is for use for patients on long-term oxygen therapy. The code is allowable for any patient using supplemental oxygen, regardless of the duration of use each day. This code is for use as an additional status code. It should not be used as a principal diagnosis."
