I have a question on this code. For a verify test. If the patient used a egg donor and you use o09.811 for the code. Would you then in return add z52.81 to say the age of the egg donor? It doesn't say in the coding book under this code.

I believe that z52.8 would go on the donors chart only. Z52 is listed under Codes that may only be Principal/First-Listed Diagnosis. Since you have a pt that is a high risk pregnancy an O code would be the principal/first listed. You would not use Z52 on a maternal chart, unless she is donating the egg.

Hope this makes sense.
