Wiki Nursing Home Visit

Scenario -

Physician visits pt in a nursing home. Pt was admitted by a different doctor, but this is the first time for our doctor seeing this patient.

We use the codes 99307 - 99310 even though this is the first visit because our doctor was not the admitting doctor, correct?

Yes. I would use that series because it would be a subsequent visit. Hope this helps
