Hi,
Can someone help me rationalize non-manipulative fracture care.
For example, I have a patient who had a finger fracture, that did not require surgery, only splinting. The provider replaced the splint they already had with a new one and sent them to be scheduled with OT for splint creation and application- separately billed at a later date. The provider billed 26600. The patient is disputing the charge and I don't agree with the billing. Was this appropriate to bill? If so how to I explain this to the patient?

Thank you,
Autumn
