We are having a debate here as to how "No radiation of pain" is used for the E&M in this history section of an injury related visit. Some are using it for location, some for quality, some for ROS for neuro. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks!

If anything I would count it as a pertinent negative for associated signs and symptoms.

It most certainly is not a location. I'm not seeing how it could be quality either.

Just my take on it,

I could see how "No Radiation to the legs" could mean it's localized to the back. But in a general sense, no. It could however a nerve issue so I could see the Neurological connection. And as for Quality, it just shows they have no pain radiating from where ever it's localized.

It's hard to judge. And I can't see any definitive or clear answer.
