We need to go cloud based because our current server is on it's last leg. We are considering swiching our PM/EHR to NextGen.

Any pros/cons??

Pros/cons

NextGen is by far my favorite PM system from a billing and revenue cycle perspective and I have worked in and done set up 8 or 9 different systems now. The biggest downside would be licensing costs if your practice is smaller, although larger practices save money through efficiency gains in the long run by using this system - If it is set up correctly on the back end and utilized as it is intended to be. I have found those who dislike the system, have not been trained on it's full functionality and have integrated poor processes as a work around when it is capable of automating most anything you need it to do. The reporting and auto-worker functionality are my favorite features, and I have yet to find another system that can stand up to it in these two areas. As with any system, it all depends on what you need out of it and how much time your staff is willing to put into learning it and getting it set up correctly from the start.

We went with NextGen Office. Formerly known as Meditouch. Not happy with the lack of support. The EHR seems ok but not the billing side
