I am excited to put my coding skills to use in my new career. Though I have a medical background, when I decided to become a medical coder I had no previous experience in it. Through determination and very hard work I have recently completed my training with an AAPC accredited program and passed my CPC exam on the first try. My skills are as follows:
* Proficient in assigning codes from ICD-10, HCPCs and CPT according to guidelines.
* Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
* Exceptionally familiar with EMR and data entry.
* Thorough understanding of HIPAA.
* Familiar with Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance.
I am looking for a job in the St. Paul/Mnpls area or the southern to southeastern suburbs. I can work FT or PT, onsite or remotely. I am confident that I will make an excellent addition to a medical office team. I am driven to make a difference for my company and my providers. I am also scheduled to sit for the COC exam in August 2018. Please contact me at tessa_maree1984@yahoo.com to view my resume and references.
Thank you for your consideration.
