Wiki New Well Woman Exam and New Office Visit

I need some help in this matter.

A new patient presents to the office for a Well Woman Exam.

The Dr spends additional time with the patient going over problems that is not related to the Well Woman Exam.

Do you bill: 99385 (new annual patient) and 99201 (documentation supports this level of visit for new patient)

OR

99385 (new patient) and 99212 (established patient)

I agree with above except you only need a modifier on the 99212.

So would copay still apply to E&M even though preventative?

I agree with the above, mod 25 only on 99212. Copay would still apply for the visit because other issues were addressed outside the prev med visit.
