Hi all, so our office does Primary Care, GYN, No Fault and Comp. We have a patient who has been coming for quite some time for a no fault (car accident) case. Now is having her first annual
GYN visit with us. Would she be considered a new patient or established?
Thanks!

You'll also have to look at how they are credentialed possibly. I code for multiple hand surgeons. One of them was not credentialed as a specialist, so his can't be billed as a new patient. The other was credentialed as a specialist, and we can bill a new patient for him. If the docs are credentialed with different specialties you should be OK.
