Can anyone suggest a class or study guide? I need to learn orthopaedic coding and am having a hard time finding any specific classes that are orthopaedic related. Or a good study guide suggestion....?

Ortho Coding Help

There are two sources I use a lot. The first is AAOS.org (American Academy Orthopedic Surgeons). They have a lot of good coding information. Also, there is an outside company that they use to do their coding education and they are called Karen Zupko & Associates (karenzupko.com) They offer two day orthopedic classes throughout the year. Just check out their website for dates and locations. Mc Vey & Associates also does some strictly ortho coding seminars - that might be the best place to start as they doing lots of courses and you could probably easily find a course in your area. Also, Decision Health usually does an orthopedic coding course in September.

Check out Margie Vaught - she does a lot of orthopedic as well.
