Hi All,
I am new to mental health billing and have not been given any background information or help. I am wondering if anyone has any general advise that I might not know to ask strictly from a billing standpoint (luckily I don't have to code, just bill). Are there any extra boxes on the CMS1500 that need to be filled out (box 14 or 15)?
Someone was asking if you can bill for a time slot if the patient does not show up for their treatment? I have never heard of this in other specialties. Can you really do that?
Does anyone know where I can find any basic reference materials regarding the ins and outs of this specialty?
