I work for Pulmonology Physicians who performThoracentesis on a regular basis. I know with the new code, 32555, imaging guidence is included. Two of the physicians are arging what this means. If a radiologist is present and performs the U/S guidence, does the Pulmonary doctor report 32554, or 32555? Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
