Have a new patient who came in with a laceration which is intermediate. Can you bill for both a new patient exam and laceration repair. Thanks in advance.

The laceration procedure code includes some evaluation funding, but if the doctor had to do a more detailed work up, then you could bill the new patient CPT if documentation supports it.
