If an NP has graduated but not passed her test yet, can she see patients using "incident to" or does she have to wait until she has passed her test? What about presription privileges?
Thanks
she can not write rx yet and not until she has had her license and worked i think for a year. The physician has to sign all her office notes(that is stating that the physician is in the office at the time the NP saw the pt and has read over her notes and agree or if he/she has to make changes)
tadavis may have the right info for her area, but that is not the case in my area. Please find out the rules though your local state nursing board. The laws vary by state, and even sometimes by area within a state (i.e. rural areas).
