We just recently opened up a IDTF. Should the reports be coded with the diagnosis on the impression and then the diagnosis on the order?

Any links or information on IDTF billing would also be appreciated. :)

yes always code from the impression first and then by the chief complaint on the report or Dr's order.
 
Thanks for your response. They have been coded by staff (not coders). Do you know of anyone else that does this? I don't agree with the practice but there is not a CPC onsite.
