Curious- in risk adjustment, are we using the current ICD-10 code list for BY 2024 with dates 10/1/2023- 9/30/2024, of the ICD-10 code list for BY 2023? I recently was part of a conversation around this and curious. For further context- the code in question is G20, which we all know has changed to be specific with G20A1,G20A2..etc. Would it be appropriate for, lets say a vendor who is helping with risk adjustment (both prospective and retrospective) to show G20, or the new codes, or both?
The system currently only displays G20 (which to me makes sense as a retro review), but does not show the changes for new codes.
Help? Am I making sense and asking the right questions?
