I am curious, did you convert your patient information from Misys to Allscripts? Also, what specialties are your docs? I work for a company that has 100 + providers, mostly primary care. We were on Misys for quite some time before converting to Allscripts. We have about 80% of our docs live on Allscripts now. We started in October 2010 and hope to finish this October. We converted all of our patient information and have had a new 'go-live' every two weeks. Depending on the size of the office, only a couple of offices went live at the same time. I cant say we had a smooth transition, although it seems to get better with time (and NOT because of the support of Allscripts). We plan to bring specialists on after all the PCP's have transitioned. The clinic I work for went live with Allscripts about 6 weeks ago. Their support was wonderful! We had been on Misys for 8 years prior, so this wasn't our first EHR. We had 6 separate offices with over 90 doctors go live at the same time. Smooth transition
My advice to you is to read all of the documentation you find on support force. Also, the client conect portal has been immensely helpful. There, you can network with other clients, vote on enhancements, join user groups, etc. Lastly, if the answer you receive doesnt seem right, or take too long to receive, escalate it, escalate it, escalate it. What version are you going live on? Also, which application?I have a Go Live date with Allscripts coming up. Any advice will better than none!
Thank you,
