I would like other opinions on foreign body under the fingernail. The foreign body was pencil lead.

Would it be appropriate to use 915.6?

Yes, that sounds appropriate if it is a current injury (an old injury with retained foreign body would require diffent codes).
Don't forget to add the appropriate E-codes (how, where, and activity) to the claim!
