My name is Melanie Layton and I am looking for an entry level position as a medical coder.I am very interested in medical coding, as I have recently graduated with honors from an inpatient/outpatient coding program in which I received extensive training in ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS coding. I coded over 500 authentic reports in a variety of types and specialties, including E/M. The program also contained courses in Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and healthcare reimbursement so I am confident I could help code accurately and assist in a variety of ways. I have excellent communication skills and customer service skills, whether over the phone, in person, or via written correspondence.
