Wiki Neuro coding help needed

Hi,

I have no experience as a neuro coder but need to help a coworker code a procedure performed by our neurosurgeon. The surgeron performed the following:

1. L2,L3,L4, L5 and S1 Lumbar fusion using pedicle screws and righ autologous iliac crest bone.
2. Implantation of spinal cord stimulator
3. Pedicle screw fixation L2,L3,L4, L5, and S1

Can anyone offer assistance on how this should be coded?

There are too many variables to code these procedures without some additional information. What is the patient's diagnosis? Was the surgery performed from the front (anterior fusion) or back (posterior fusion)? Was the bone graft from the iliac crest morselized (ground up) or structural, bicortical or tricortical?
