When using pre-configured electrodes for Nerve Conduction Studies we need to use the new code 95905, however Highmark Medicare does not cover this code. I have been told by our rep that it is still ok to use the codes 95903 and 95904 at this point because Medicare hasnt "accepted" this code yet. Im wondering what other practices have been doing in our area. (NJ) Also what codes are being used for the NCS with commercial payers. I have pulled the medical policy for Horizon on this code (95905) and it states it is investigational and will not be paid. Any suggestions/comments would be helpful
