Wiki need icd 10 for thyroid function labs after a ct with contrast in children under 3

FDA recommends that thyroid labs should be done 3 weeks after children under 3 get a ct with contrast. Not sure what to code for this. Any suggestions??

Since the patient is being screened for a potential thyroid disorder to exposure to chemicals in the contrast, I think that the most likely choices are going to be:

• Z13.88 Encounter for screening for disorder due to exposure to contaminants
• Z77.098 Contact with and (suspected) exposure to other hazardous, chiefly nonmedicinal, chemicals

However, the code you ultimately assign is going to depend on how the provider documents the reason for the lab test in the patient's record.
